URLs and menus finall set up after much tweaking of system settings.

Tested numerous options for Friendly URLs using the inbuilt and a couple of providers plus adjustments via the IIS interface.

In the end - standard DNN Friendly URL left on.  IIS - rewrite / redirect maps set up to key pages.  This does not work on every page, but will get my site off to a start with what I consider to be good URLs.  The IIS route reads the DNN friendly url, strips off tabid/..... etc and leaves the directory names.
